Learn what the Fed is doing with Stablecoin and CBDC in a 5-minute clip from a great sit down with Peter Kerr, on the Yieldstreet Podcast!
We covered a lot of ground on CBDC! And I think it’s a great interview with great energy, and I gave much better answers than usual!
Frankly, I’m not always at my best, but for this interview, Peter was asking great questions and we ended up with a discussion that was on fire! Thanks Peter!
I’ve put a clip below that will interest regular listeners. In it I have some newer thoughts on the Fed’s move into digital currencies. These are regulatory issues that are playing out right now and I advise you all to keep an eye out for changes!
In this segment I talk about how the Fed is really on the fence with CBDC, but I think they’re coming around to a stablecoin approach.
The good news is that
“We are going to get a digital future.” The reality is that it will be stablecoin based, and while I like them, CBDCs are far superior!
One thing, I think I’m overestimating how long it will take the Fed to roll out a CBDC. If it took China 7 years, maybe the Fed can do it in 5 years? Not the 7 I say in the podcast. Still the Fed is anything but fast.
Watch the regulations for stablecoins! We’re going to be using stablecoins in the next 2 years…..then a CBDC.
I also love this clip on how people in China related to digital compared with their counterparts in the West.
